Why this scent exists.

Heart of Himavat is built around a high Himalayan memory: snow, sandalwood, and the eternal flame at the Triyuginarayan temple. A meditative woody scent for cool weather, slow mornings, and quiet rooms.

Heart of Himavat sits warm and grounded on the skin — a meditative woody-resinous solid perfume built around the high-altitude air of Triyuginarayan, where the temple's eternal flame has been kept since legend.

It opens with a high-altitude sparkle: shiikuwasa lime and yuzu cut through cold morning air, pink pepper for a thread of warmth, osmanthus and magnolia flowering on the slopes below. The heart is the temple itself — a water-cool aquatic accord, Indian rose deepening into ylang-ylang and tuberose, tulsi for the smoke of the puja. The base is the flame and the wood that fed it: white musk, amber, sacred incense, sandalwood, and dark hinoki cypress.

Best worn: cold mornings, snow days, evenings where you want a quiet sense of vastness around you.

Heart of Himavat is a meditation on Triyuginarayan — the Himalayan temple where an eternal flame has burned for thousands of years, and where the air smells of snow, deodar wood, and slow incense.

At Triyuginarayan, time slows. The temple sits on a high plateau where snow settles even in summer mornings, and the Akhand Dhuni — the unbroken fire before the door — has been alive since the wedding of Shiva and Parvati, according to legend.

We tried to capture the air there: cold and luminous, threaded with sandalwood and incense smoke, sweetened by the wild magnolia and tuberose that grow in the valleys below. A scent for stillness.

How long does the scent last?

On skin, Sayuri balms project close-to-body for 3–5 hours and leave a soft dry-down that can linger up to 8. Because the formula is oil-based, the scent stays intimate rather than filling a room.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Yes — our base is organic beeswax, jojoba, shea and cocoa butter, with no alcohol, parabens, or synthetic fixatives. We recommend a small patch test on the inner wrist if you're new to solid perfumes.

Can I fly with it?

Yes. A Sayuri compact is a solid, not a liquid, so TSA/EASA liquid rules don't apply. It tucks into a coat pocket or the corner of a carry-on.

How should I store it?

Keep your compact out of direct sunlight and below 25°C / 77°F. If it ever softens in heat, let it rest in a cool spot overnight — it returns to its original texture without losing scent.

Is it cruelty-free?

Always. No animal testing, ever. Our beeswax comes from small Japanese and European apiaries that practice sustainable hive management.
